Manufacturer Durafix
Thanks to the special DURAFIX rod, today you can weld (braze), repair aluminum, its alloys, zinc, brass, copper and even galvanized sheet materials without using a welding machine!
DO NOT MISS THE FIRST VIDEO AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!
This rod melts at less than 400 ° C and the material to be welded can be heated with propane, acetylene, methane or any other fuel burners that bring the material to a temperature of 400 ° C. However, we recommend using the simple propane / butane burner. Be careful not to exceed this temperature too much so as not to melt the same material to be welded. If the rod is hit directly by the flame, it must melt by rubbing it on the heated part of the material to be welded. Before heating, the part to be welded must be well brushed exclusively with a stainless steel brush to remove the aluminum oxide surface film. In addition, the rod does not stick to steel and stainless steel.
- All you need is a simple propane gas soldering iron (see related list)
- Creates a stronger solid bond than metal
- No flux required
- There are no fumes - Can be anodized
- Works at a temperature below 400 ° C
Features
- low costs
- stronger than aluminum
- no fluxes or fumes
- low working temperature
How to join aluminum parts
- Clean the area to be welded
- Brush the part to be welded only with a stainless steel brush until the part becomes shiny
- Heat the area to be welded, evenly
- When the base heats up, rub the rod vigorously against the heated piece to be welded until the rod melts
- Never apply the flame directly to the rod
