The MD500 helicopter series belongs to the category of light civil and military multi-purpose helicopters that can transport a maximum of four people. Developed from the Hughes 500 since 1976, three different models are produced by Boeing today. The series includes the MD500E, MD520N and MD530F.

The scale replica of this well-known helicopter is in no way inferior to the original and is visually impressive with its many small details, such as rivets, indicated door frames, LED lighting and the 5-blade rotor head, which is made of aluminium. The swashplate and the main rotor shaft are also made of aluminium. Blade holders and linkages are made of high-strength plastic and allow all components to move without play. The fuselage and chassis of the helicopter are made of impact-resistant ABS plastic, which significantly increases the durability of the material.

The main and rear motors are designed as brushless motors and generate enough power for powerful and dynamic flight manoeuvres. The built-in gyro electronics stabilise the model in all positions and provide a safe flying experience that will delight even beginners. The flight behaviour in hovering flight is reminiscent of a coaxial helicopter. In normal flight, the system works like a speed- or pitch-controlled helicopter. However, the auto-stabilisation immediately resumes when the sticks of the remote control are returned to the centre position. This means there are no nasty surprises in flight. The model also features our popular auto-start and auto-landing system at the touch of a button. Different flight phases (beginner, advanced, professional) can be switched on the transmitter, which leads to different servo deflections on the swashplate and thus changes the sensitivity of the model. The helicopter also has an Attitude Hold System (automatic altitude hold). The transmitter system operates in the safe and interference-free 2.4 GHz band and the model is even suitable for outdoor use due to its performance and relatively low wind speed.
